Scholarship Mentorship Program

Scholarship Mentoring Program Policy

Kailyn is always excited to welcome new candidates into her Scholarship Mentoring Program. As we begin preparations for our next cohort, this is the perfect time to provide guidelines and share expectations for our program.

Preparations:

  1. Scholars are expected to attend every session prepared to actively participate.
  2. Assignments and follow-up tasks from the previous session or teleconferences are expected to be completed and will be reviewed.
  3. Scholars are encouraged to bring their laptops and any other related study materials to the session.
  4. Advocates are expected to actively participate in their scholar’s scholarship journey and support them as needed.

Punctuality:

We respect our client’s time and appreciate the same courtesy. We realize that mishaps or unforeseen circumstances may disrupt one’s schedule and cause a small delay.

  1. Mentoring sessions begin at their scheduled time.
  2. There will be a 15 minute grace period allowed by both parties before the session is deemed as a No-Show.
  3. A No-Show by the client(s) results as a forfeiture of the payment for that session; no refund. If the client(s) chooses to continue with the program, an arrangement must be made to re-schedule and conduct the missed session within 30 calendar days and before the next session is conducted. Payment must be received no less than 3 days prior to the scheduled session. If not received, session will not be confirmed. If no arrangement is made, Scholars Path will assume dissolution of the contract. At which time, the scholar will no longer be a part of the Scholarship Mentorship Cohort. All communications and continuation of the mentoring curriculum will immediately cease.
  4. A second No-Show by the client(s) during the program will automatically result in dissolution of the contract. At which time, the scholar will no longer be a part of the Scholarship Mentorship Cohort. All communications and continuation of the Mentoring curriculum will immediately cease.
  5. A No-Show by Scholars Path will result in a re-scheduling (and completion) within 30 calendar days of the missed service and before the next session is conducted. Client will also receive a 10% discount on the most recent payment (assuming a payment plan was established). Discount will be rendered upon completion of the re-scheduled session.
  6. Failure by the client(s) to respond to a call or email after 3 calendar days (on 2 separate documentable attempts) will result in dissolution of the contract. At which time, the scholar will no longer be a part of the Scholarship Mentorship Cohort. All communications and continuation of the mentoring curriculum will immediately cease.

Re-scheduling:

Re-scheduling after a session date has been mutually agreed upon will be based on availability and written approval by both parties.

  1. If the re-scheduling request is initiated by the client(s) and a new date cannot be mutually agreed upon after 7 calendar days and the current booked date can no longer be honored by the client(s), it will be considered a cancellation. The policy for cancellations by the client(s) will apply.
  2. If the re-scheduling request is initiated by Scholars Path and a new date cannot be mutually agreed upon after7 calendar days, it will be considered a cancellation. The policy for cancellations by Scholars Path will apply.

  2. A second cancellation by the client(s) after a session date has been mutually agreed upon will result in a $50 cancellation fee payable before the next scheduled session begins.
  3. A third cancellation by the client(s) after a session date has been mutually agreed upon will result in dissolution of the contract. At which time, the scholar will no longer be a part of the Scholarship Mentorship Cohort. All communications and continuation of the mentoring curriculum will immediately cease.
  4. Cancellation by Scholars Path after booking has been confirmed will result in a 10% discount on the most recent payment (assuming a payment plan was established) to the client(s). Discount will be rendered upon completion of the re-scheduled session.
