Is the thought of a scholarship journey as equally overwhelming as your journey for researching, applying and waiting for those college acceptance letters?
Our 3-4 month program includes customized guidance and mentorship. It consists of four 2-hour sessions packed with structured preparatory goals, activities and deadlines. It also includes three 1-hour teleconferences (between sessions) for follow-up/feedback of homework assignments and preparations for upcoming session.
Our mentees will:
- Learn how to manage their time
- Create resumes & personal statements
- Have mock interviews
- Create scholarship profiles & much more!
Attending two group-setting workshops (the Scholarship Workshop and the Scholarship Essay Writing Prep Workshop) are prerequisites for the potential candidate’s acceptance into the program. However, if the potential candidate is unable to attend both of the workshops prior to the commencement of the Scholarship Mentorship Program, both workshops will be conducted as an additional session incurring an additional fee.
Exceptions are on a case-by-case basis.
While there can be no guarantees offered on one’s scholarship success, Mentor Kailyn Bates has already accumulated rewarding success stories which include:
- Assisting a former attendee who is now a Carson Scholar, Jackie Robinson Scholar and graduated with the most external scholarships in his graduating class
- Assisting a former attendee with winning 9 scholarships in 10 months
- Assisting a former attendee with earning two merit scholarships valued at $48K/each
- Established a partnership with her campus’ Financial Aid Office and Assisted Learning Center to mentor students seeking additional scholarships to fund their college education.
** A limited number of candidates are selected each mentorship session. They will be high school freshmen through rising high school seniors.
They must be ready to work and ready to win! **
